An old barn, reduced in scale and interpreted in a contemporary way, establishes a welcoming front entrance at Leaf Farms Inc.'s produce distribution facility in Homestead, FL.
The modern looking appearance of the building is also expressed with window shapes, sizes and placements on the walls. On the facade of the entrance structure, there are six square windows arranged in steps.
To connect the Leaf Farms building to architecture in the area, the designers specified a specific color scheme. A combination of light gray walls and dark green trim and other elements is found on buildings in the south Miami - Dade County area more than 100 years ago.
